Carlinhos Marques struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Sebastião Quintal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Friburguense FC. In the 43rdth minute of the game Luiz Eduardo Teles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cacauzinho's Sebastião Quintal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Friburguense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Doni de Senna came free, but Jacinto Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Paulo Ferreira hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Erivaldo Lima received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jacinto Porto came out and tried to block the shot, but Erivaldo Lima slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Eduardo Teles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 64 played minutes Cacauzinho got a freekick which was hit by Diogo de Sousa. Carlinhos Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Quintal having to interfere. If Luiz Eduardo Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
