Vaggelis Kousouridis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Pinheiro in the 8th minute of play. Ivo Pinheiro took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vaggelis Kousouridis. Vaggelis Kousouridis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Pinheiro in the 15th minute of play forced GAMP FC's goalkeeper Vaggelis Kousouridis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16thth minute of the game Ivo Pinheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GAMP FC's Vaggelis Kousouridis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of GAMP FC booed when Buritama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Carlos Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Buritama's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivo Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vaggelis Kousouridis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damian Umbruso made in the 27th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Durval Fontes however managed to control. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivo Pinheiro in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vaggelis Kousouridis saved GAMP FC from getting behind. Vaggelis Kousouridis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Júnior Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. With an all-out effort, Buritama's Vaggelis Kousouridis threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ivo Pinheiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vaggelis Kousouridis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Buritama's Júnior Schmidt managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Nilton da Rocha in the 65 minute of the game. With a little luck, GAMP FC's Vaggelis Kousouridis got control of the ball when Ivo Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 69 minutes of play, Buritama's José Carlos Ferraz made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After some careless play in the GAMP FC defense, Júnior Schmidt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vaggelis Kousouridis. The GAMP FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vaggelis Kousouridis should have stopped the shot. After having played for 79 minutes, Júnior Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buritama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júnior Schmidt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vaggelis Kousouridis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Pinheiro in the 84th minute of the match. The Buritama fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Buritama's Ivo Pinheiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Buritama's Ivo Pinheiro in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GAMP FC's goalie prevented a goal. GAMP FC's Vaggelis Kousouridis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Pinheiro in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Buritama left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than GAMP FC.
