The supporters of Braganca booed when A. A. Veterana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perivaldo Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Braganca getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Silvinho Brito hit a great ball. After 7 played minutes Braganca got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Torres. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Walmyr Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot. A. A. Veterana's supporters rose to their feet, but Walmyr Saldanha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorival Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes into the game, Walmyr Saldanha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dorival Oliveira. Walmyr Saldanha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Walmyr Saldanha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dorival Oliveira came out and tried to block the shot, but Walmyr Saldanha slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 18th minute. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind A. A. Veterana's goalkeeper Lenílson Branco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lenílson Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmílson Goiano in the 30th minute of play. Dráusio Pinheiro struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Dorival Oliveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A. A. Veterana. Dráusio Pinheiros short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Dorival Oliveira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Edmílson Goiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Braganca booed when A. A. Veterana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauan Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in A. A. Veterana's zone, Edmílson Goiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lenílson Branco came out of the goal and Edmílson Goiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Belmiro Barreto made the kick off in the second half. When Braganca's Belmiro Barreto in 56 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Lenílson Branco guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Edmílson Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Lenílson Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lenílson Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belmiro Barreto in the 59th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, A. A. Veterana's goal looked a bit too open when Belmiro Barreto came free, but Lenílson Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st match minute, Braganca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fernando Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, A. A. Veterana's goalkeeper Lenílson Branco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmílson Goiano. In the 84th minute, Belmiro Barreto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Braganca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Barreto in the 89th minute of play forced A. A. Veterana's goalkeeper Lenílson Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes of play, A. A. Veterana's Dráusio Pinheiro made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dorival Oliveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 98 played minutes Braganca got a freekick which was hit by Walmir Travassos. Braganca's Dorival Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauan Lopes in the 99th minute of play.
