Abstergo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruninho Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Eliézer de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Paulo Bueno took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eduardo Toledo. Eduardo Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Vicente Loureiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Eliézer de Toledo made a huge save. Eliézer de Toledo made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Pedro Fernandes in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Rmac F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rubens Varela came free, but Eliézer de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruninho Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Rmac F.C. getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Frédson Sabóia hit a great ball. Abstergo were furious when Artur de Mendonça was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 24th minute, one of Abstergo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Abstergo. Eduardo Toledo had in the 27thth minute some difficulties stopping João Augusto Lira's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 29th minute of the match, Vicente Loureiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eliézer de Toledo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vicente Loureiro in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliézer de Toledo saved Rmac F.C. from getting behind. The supporters of Abstergo booed when Rmac F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulão Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute Luiz Fernando Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes, Osvaldinho Zanette mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rmac F.C. and the Abstergo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eduardo Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílton do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Loureiro couldn't finish the play. In the 54th minute, Luiz Fernando Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Abstergo fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Abstergo's Vicente Loureiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Loureiro in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliézer de Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 90 minutes into the match, Abstergo's goalkeeper Eduardo Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Paulo Bueno. Eduardo Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ediberto Freitas in the 92nd minute of the match. Eliézer de Toledo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vicente Loureiro's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Rubens Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abstergo's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubens Varela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliézer de Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
