Spectators: 7062 (Terracing: 5419, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Paulo Pinho kicked off to start the match. After 8 minutes, Duarte Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A. A. Veterana and the PARNAHYBA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Duarte Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Cléber Paraibano was a little too slow when Duarte Alves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. The audience was convinced that Paulo Pinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lenílson Branco was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. With a little luck, PARNAHYBA's Cléber Paraibano got control of the ball when Dráusio Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Perivaldo Falcão got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Percival de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Lenílson Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walmyr Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Marcos Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Walmyr da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenílson Branco having to interfere. After 58 played minutes A. A. Veterana got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Alves. After having played for 59 minutes, Percival de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PARNAHYBA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percival de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Percival de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A. A. Veterana's Lenílson Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Quirino in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th play minute Paulo Pinho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lenílson Branco. 1-1. The PARNAHYBA fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when PARNAHYBA's Paulo Pinho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Paulo Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Lenílson Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lenílson Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Quirino in the 77th minute of the match. Paulo Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Lenílson Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenílson Branco having to interfere. In the 87th minute Paulo Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenílson Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lenílson Branco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Pinho in the 91st minute. Elder Nóbrega charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elder Nóbrega the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of A. A. Veterana booed when PARNAHYBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elder Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. PARNAHYBA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
