After having played for 5 minutes, Rui Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toronto - Férias - OFF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Mineiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Toronto - Férias - OFF defense, Jonas do Valle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuca Mello. The Toronto - Férias - OFF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuca Mello should have stopped the shot. Wiliam Veloso hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Rui Mineiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Salgado having to interfere. A collision led to Toronto - Férias - OFF getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Joaquim Dias hit a great ball. After 17 minutes, Claudinei Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toronto - Férias - OFF and the Insight players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Insight booed when Toronto - Férias - OFF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Rui Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carlos Eduardo Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Eduardo Chaves came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Francisco Salgado could save by the left post. João Adolfo Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Samuca Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas do Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rui Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Adolfo Leal made a kick off. João Adolfo Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toronto - Férias - OFF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Insight the free kick. After 61 played minutes Toronto - Férias - OFF got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Chaves. When João Adolfo Leal came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Insight fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Adolfo Leal couldn't finish the play. In the 70th match minute, Toronto - Férias - OFF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Dias to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, Carlos Eduardo Chaves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Insight's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Mineiro came free, but Francisco Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Eduardo Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Salgado having to interfere. Samuca Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Adolfo Leal in the 88th minute of play. After 93 played minutes Insight got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Lara. Jonas do Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Samuca Mello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
