In the 14th minute, one of Pacu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pacu. Pacu:s Ronaldão Varela showed great skill when he stopped Alfredo Nascimento:s penalty. In the 16th minute, Alfredo Nascimento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldão Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 21 minutes, Marcos Xavier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting 42 and the Pacu players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pacu booed when Sporting 42 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Xavier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th match minute, Pacu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio Cunha to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Pacu defense, Felipe Freire kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldão Varela. The Pacu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldão Varela should have stopped the shot. When Genílson Félix came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Pacu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Genílson Félix couldn't finish the play. Felipe Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oséas de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ronaldão Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Pacu getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Genílson Félix hit a great ball. The Pacu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sporting 42 were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Genílson Félix made a kick off. If Felipe Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oséas de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-3 became the score in the 55th minute when Felipe Freire elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Pacu booed when Sporting 42 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséas de Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felipe Freire struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Ronaldão Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting 42. Ronaldão Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Freire in the 73rd minute of play. In the 78th minute Genílson Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Genílson Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th play minute Elano Capixaba came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ronaldão Varela. 0-4. Felipe Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Varela having to interfere. Ronaldão Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Freire in the 91st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Freire in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronaldão Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sporting 42's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
