Roger Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 6th minute Roger Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Roger Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Francisco Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delfim Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diogo Breckenfeld showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Adolfo Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Delfim Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Salgado having to interfere. Francisco Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Roger Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Válbson Aparecido was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Urubici FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Insight the free kick. After 41 played minutes Urubici FC got a freekick which was hit by Válbson Aparecido. A collision led to Insight getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Henrique Lara hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Adolfo Leal made a kick off. After 52 minutes of play Urubici FC's Válbson Aparecido was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Urubici FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Válbson Aparecido hit a great ball. Jonas do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th match minute, Urubici FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim Couto to maneuver through the defense. Insight's Alexsandro Souto couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 59th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Urubici FC. Celsinho Cabral scored 0-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Salgado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Insight's Jonas do Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonas do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 played minutes Urubici FC got a freekick which was hit by Roger Correia. 86 minutes into the game, Insight's João Adolfo Leal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diogo Breckenfeld made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 92nd minute, Sidney Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes, Insight's Alexsandro Souto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Diogo Breckenfeld came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Insight reached it. The supporters of Insight booed when Urubici FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Urubici FC's goalkeeper Diogo Breckenfeld, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diogo Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas do Valle in the 98th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
