Juninho Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Eusébio Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Juninho Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Túlio Veloso to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusébio Peres in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juninho Sarmento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 55 played minutes Baumart Team got a freekick which was hit by Túlio Veloso. Arranca Toco FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Túlio Veloso kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Arranca Toco FC's Roberto de Barros ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Juninho Sarmento. Juninho Sarmento yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Arranca Toco FC's Eusébio Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Arranca Toco FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Arranca Toco FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
