Palestra Itália's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Croquete FC the free kick. Dudu Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Raí da Mata successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Joélson de Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Palestra Itália fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joélson de Andrade couldn't finish the play. Raí da Mata had great luck who in the 18thth minute grab hold of the ball when William de Amorim from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. José Paulo Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fábio de Carvalho in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Palestra Itália's Joélson de Andrade got a free kick in the 26th minute. Croquete FC's José Paulo Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fábio de Carvalho in the 30th minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Mário Tinoco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 34th minute, Mário Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dudu Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Raí da Mata was a little too slow when William de Amorim got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Luís Fábio de Carvalho made the kick off in the second half. William de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Croquete FC fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Croquete FC's William de Amorim looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Palestra Itália's Raí da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William de Amorim in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Palestra Itália's goal looked a bit too open when William de Amorim came free, but Raí da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. William de Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When William de Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Croquete FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William de Amorim couldn't finish the play. Telmo Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Paulo Trevisan having to interfere. Raí da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fernando Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers William de Amorim in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raí da Mata saved Palestra Itália from getting behind. The audience was convinced that William de Amorim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raí da Mata was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Palestra Itália's zone, William de Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raí da Mata came out of the goal and William de Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Croquete FC were the better team. Croquete FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
