The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jeremias Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Félix in the 4th minute of the match. After 6 minutes, Oséias Mandrak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arruda Futebol Clube and the Sulacap players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leopoldo Britto came out of the goal and Sakut Ferikoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Arruda Futebol Clube booed when Sulacap was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeremias Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséias Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington Soares in the 18th minute of play forced Sulacap's goalkeeper Jeremias Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Sulacap's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Garcia came free, but Jeremias Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 25 minutes, Arthur de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sulacap's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arthur de Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeremias Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséias Mandrak in the 28th minute of play. If Oséias Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Arthur de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sulacap's protests and gave Arthur de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sulacap getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Arthur de Almeida hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséias Mandrak in the 32nd minute of play forced Sulacap's goalkeeper Jeremias Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Wellington Soares made a precise shot to the right of Jeremias Baptista. Sulacap's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Evandro Castro struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Leopoldo Britto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sulacap. Arthur de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Leopoldo Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 52nd match minute, Sulacap was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evandro Castro to maneuver through the defense. Jeremias Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséias Mandrak in the 55th minute of the match. Sulacap's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arruda Futebol Clube the free kick. After 75 played minutes Sulacap got a freekick which was hit by Jouke Koole. Jeremias Baptista made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Luís Paulo Sarmento sent off a good shot on target. 92 minutes into the match, Sulacap's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Garcia came free, but Jeremias Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremias Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdo Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arruda Futebol Clube played a much better game than Sulacap and deserved their victory. The Sulacap players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
