Croquete FC's Ciro Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joélson Machado was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Croquete FC booed when Arruda Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joélson Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Croquete FC's Luís Fernando Quadros got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arruda Futebol Clube's Leopoldo Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando Quadros in the 88th minute of play. William de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Britto having to interfere. If Zé de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Croquete FC had played much better football throughout.
