In the 42nd minute Lauro Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Lauro Hermes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Muri EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.

After a defensive mix-up in Cola na banca F.C.S's zone, Nilson Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdo Santana came out of the goal and Nilson Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Muri EC's Erasmo Pimenta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Muri EC from getting a goal against them. Muri EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Luizinho Oliveira scored to the left of an out of position Erasmo Pimenta, making the score, 1-2. After 62 minutes of play, Cola na banca F.C.S's Baltazar Vale made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
