Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gernando Quadros in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dino Melo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. But to his dismay, Alfredo Carioca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Alfredo Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Luís Paulo Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edinho Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. AD Cajamar's Dino Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonsinho Montenegro in the 24th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Guaimim FC's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Mesquita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Carioca. One of AD Cajamar:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Guaimim FC:s goal. In the 47th match minute, AD Cajamar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Simão to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dino Melo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Afonsinho Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Dino Melo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Afonsinho Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Guaimim FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonsinho Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Dino Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Quadros in the 60th minute of the match. Afonsinho Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Dino Melo made a huge save. Luís Paulo Mesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
