João Adolfo Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Quadros in the 30th minute of the match. Valdo da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had been going on for 38 minutes, São Paulo Futebol Clube's William Coutinho got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Luís Paulo Mesquita. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Teixeira in the 46th minute of play forced Guaimim FC's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as São Paulo Futebol Clube had held the ball for most of the match.
