When Régis Nogueira fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vrau AxT's protests and gave Régis Nogueira a yellow card for diving instead. Régis Nogueira hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Elano de Carvalho was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Gabriel Lucas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gabriel Lucas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Luisão Vianna kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elano de Carvalho. That made the score 3-0 in the 14 minute of play. Gabriel Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 23rd minute, Patrick Figueiredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clube Atlético Indaiatuba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. José Toscano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Elano de Carvalho made a huge save. Luisão Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Elano de Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vrau AxT's Elano de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Toscano in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the Vrau AxT defense, José Toscano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elano de Carvalho. The Vrau AxT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elano de Carvalho should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Toscano made a kick off. After 55 played minutes, Clube Atlético Indaiatuba's Frederico Zonta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elano de Carvalho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Clube Atlético Indaiatuba reached it. Frederico Zonta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elano de Carvalho. Vrau AxT's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Elano de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Lucas in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vrau AxT's Régis Nogueira got a free kick in the 61st minute. Gabriel Lucas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elano de Carvalho. Vrau AxT's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. José Toscano struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Elano de Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Atlético Indaiatuba. If Patrick Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Bertassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisão Vianna took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elano de Carvalho. Elano de Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. After some careless play in the Vrau AxT defense, José Toscano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elano de Carvalho. The Vrau AxT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elano de Carvalho should have stopped the shot. 83 minutes into the match, Vrau AxT's goal looked a bit too open when José Toscano came free, but Elano de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, José Toscano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elano de Carvalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. 89 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Indaiatuba's Patrick Figueiredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elano de Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. José Toscano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elano de Carvalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play.
