Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jaboticabal Atletico's José Vítor Castro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Júnior Fontes's late challenge caught a Cristal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júnior Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Jaboticabal Atletico's Júnior Fontes got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Jaboticabal Atletico's zone, Luizão Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Gerber came out of the goal and Luizão Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th match minute, Jaboticabal Atletico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Santos to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo de Lima hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After having played for 10 minutes, Serafim Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cristal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafim Tasso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luizão Arce in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Gerber prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgar Gerber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovanni Pitta in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Erivaldo Catarinense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cristal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Luizão Arce in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edgar Gerber, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 20th minute, Giovanni Pitta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erivaldo Catarinense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leopoldo Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Tinoco having to interfere. Dadá Saldanha charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dadá Saldanha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Jaboticabal Atletico booed when Cristal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dadá Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaboticabal Atletico's Edgar Gerber proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Jaboticabal Atletico from getting a goal against them. 43 minutes into the game, Giovanni Pitta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cristal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaboticabal Atletico the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cristal's Giovanni Pitta got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute, Erivaldo Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Luizão Arce made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Cristal's Luizão Arce nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Gerber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Luizão Arce took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Gerber. Edgar Gerber dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. A collision led to Jaboticabal Atletico getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. José Vítor Castro hit a great ball. José Pedro Botelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giovanni Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Edgar Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74thth minute of the game Luizão Arce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jaboticabal Atletico's Edgar Gerber was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Erivaldo Catarinense fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cristal's protests and gave Erivaldo Catarinense a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th minute, Erivaldo Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Vítor Castro hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute Luizão Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erivaldo Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Gerber having to interfere. When José Pedro Botelho came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Cristal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Pedro Botelho couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cristal had played much better football throughout.
