João Francisco da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matheus Silva having to interfere. It was beautiful to see THE PLAN's João Francisco Lima in action when he in the 37th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! If Roger Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matheus Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Ciro Batista made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Lightning McQueen got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Quintal. After some careless play in the THE PLAN defense, Roger Chaves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matheus Silva. The THE PLAN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matheus Silva should have stopped the shot. After 59 played minutes THE PLAN got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Barral. THE PLAN's João Francisco Lima quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Richard Tróia, made in the 73rd minute of the game. Ciro Batista might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luan Travassos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciro Batista ran back to his position shaking his head. When João Francisco da Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Lightning McQueen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Francisco da Cunha couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Lightning McQueen's zone, Ciro Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luan Travassos came out of the goal and Ciro Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Francisco da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Matheus Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute Roger Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matheus Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of THE PLAN's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. THE PLAN may have spent more time on the ball, but Lightning McQueen were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
