Juarês Marinho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gilberto Aguiar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. The audience was convinced that João Carlos Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cléberson Secco was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 15th minute, HARDCORE F.C.'s Gilberto Aguiar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. João Carlos Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Carlos Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cléberson Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in HARDCORE F.C.'s zone, Isaltino Xavier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cléberson Secco came out of the goal and Isaltino Xavier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to HARDCORE F.C. getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ricardinho Senna hit a great ball. Cléberson Secco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaltino Xavier in the 36th minute of play. Cléberson Secco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaltino Xavier went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 41 minutes into the match, HARDCORE F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Isaltino Xavier came free, but Cléberson Secco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in HARDCORE F.C.'s zone, Isaltino Xavier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cléberson Secco came out of the goal and Isaltino Xavier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute, Geovânio Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaltino Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Cléberson Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Isaltino Xavier made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaltino Xavier in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cléberson Secco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jerônimo Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Cléberson Secco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaltino Xavier's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. When João Carlos Costa came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Clube Atlético Phoenix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Carlos Costa couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind HARDCORE F.C.'s goalkeeper Cléberson Secco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valdo Alves charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdo Alves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valdo Alves hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Gilberto Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Juarês Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaltino Xavier couldn't finish the play. After 89 played minutes HARDCORE F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Faria. In the 92nd minute, Ricardinho Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaltino Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96thth minute of the game Isaltino Xavier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but HARDCORE F.C.'s Cléberson Secco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Clube Atlético Phoenix players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
