Chucky's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haroldo Furlan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Raphael Rossi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 19th minute. Chucky's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Haroldo Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivo Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Francisco Gaúcho in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Haroldo Furlan made a precise shot to the right of Ivo Mandrak. Chucky's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Duere's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Raphael Rossi scored to the left of an out of position Paulo Renato Saraiva, making the score, 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

In the 62ndth minute of the game Vitório Tavares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Duere's Paulo Renato Saraiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Chucky booed when Duere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedito Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haroldo Furlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ivo Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivo Mandrak made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Haroldo Furlan sent off a good shot on target. 83 minutes into the match, Chucky's goal looked a bit too open when João Francisco Gaúcho came free, but Ivo Mandrak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haroldo Furlan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
