Mecnun Davarcı scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walmyr Moura, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 20 played minutes Giralua F.C got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão Favoretto. Mecnun Davarcı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Walmyr Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mustafa Haydar Halıcı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Loureiro in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Amazonas Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Mustafa Haydar Halıcı, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Elivélton Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walmyr Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mecnun Davarcı, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. With a little luck, Amazonas Futebol Clube's Mustafa Haydar Halıcı got control of the ball when Elivélton Guimarães tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Maria Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Walmyr Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Giralua F.C's Bruno Terra got a free kick in the 37th minute. Giralua F.C's Walmyr Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Maria Medeiros in the 39th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, José Maria Medeiros notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Giralua F.C's Walmyr Moura. Walmyr Moura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. José Maria Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmyr Moura having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Maria Medeiros made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Amazonas Futebol Clube were awarded a corner. Carlos Fernando da Rocha went to the cornerflag to take it. After 66 played minutes Amazonas Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Corrêa. After a defensive mix-up in Amazonas Futebol Clube's zone, Elivélton Guimarães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mustafa Haydar Halıcı came out of the goal and Elivélton Guimarães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes in the game, José Maria Medeiros fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Walmyr Moura having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Amazonas Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Mecnun Davarcı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amazonas Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Mecnun Davarcı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walmyr Moura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 82 minutes of play, Amazonas Futebol Clube's Mecnun Davarcı made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walmyr Moura was left in no man's land by his defense there! If José Maria Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as José Maria Medeiros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Walmyr Moura. That made the score 1-6 in the 96 minute of play. The Giralua F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Amazonas Futebol Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
