Sílvio Luís Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Rodrigo Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Terra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elivélton Guimarães in the 12th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Giralua F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Magno Koehler came free, but Walmyr Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmyr Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Elivélton Guimarães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodrigo Quirino. Velanie FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elivélton Guimarães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Elivélton Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elivélton Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elivélton Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Quirino having to interfere. Sílvio Luís Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelsinho Recife kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Rodrigo Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elivélton Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sílvio Luís Loureiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Velanie FC's Magno Koehler got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Sílvio Luís Loureiro fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Giralua F.C's protests and gave Sílvio Luís Loureiro a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 played minutes Giralua F.C got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luís Loureiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Falcão in the 61st minute of play forced Giralua F.C's goalkeeper Walmyr Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Sílvio Luís Loureiro took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Rodrigo Quirino to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Velanie FC's Oswaldo Paranaense got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Elivélton Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nelsinho Recife fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Velanie FC's protests and gave Nelsinho Recife a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd match minute, Velanie FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelsinho Recife to maneuver through the defense. Sílvio Luís Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sílvio Luís Loureiro in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodrigo Quirino saved Velanie FC from getting behind. Rodrigo Quirino was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Luiz Fabiano Baptista. The Velanie FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Giralua F.C were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
