Sebastião Velasco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Nemoel United's zone, Mecnun Davarcı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Velasco came out of the goal and Mecnun Davarcı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Daniel Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Mecnun Davarcı ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastião Velasco was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After some careless play in the Nemoel United defense, José Maria Medeiros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastião Velasco. The Nemoel United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastião Velasco should have stopped the shot. José Maria Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastião Velasco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mecnun Davarcı went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. 32 minutes into the game, Amazonas Futebol Clube's Mecnun Davarcı nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastião Velasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Fernando da Rocha in the 36th minute of play forced Nemoel United's goalkeeper Sebastião Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 minutes, José Maria Medeiros made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Nemoel United's Sebastião Velasco tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sebastião Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mecnun Davarcı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mustafa Haydar Halıcı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder de Amaral in the 43rd minute of the match. Sebastião Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Sena during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Daniel Sena hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Sebastião Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria Medeiros in the 47th minute of play. José Maria Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hélder de Amaral to make the kick off. After 53 minutes of play Nemoel United's Daniel Sena was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Sebastião Velasco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mecnun Davarcı in the 59th minute. In the 61st match minute, Nemoel United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Augusto Esteves to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Nemoel United's goal looked a bit too open when José Maria Medeiros came free, but Sebastião Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 played minutes Nemoel United got a freekick which was hit by Hélder de Amaral. 68 minutes into the game, José Maria Medeiros recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sebastião Velasco. José Maria Medeiros showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Nemoel United's goalkeeper couldn't reach when José Maria Medeiros 73 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-8. In the 76th minute José Maria Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastião Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute José Maria Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nemoel United's Sebastião Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Maria Medeiros in the 85th minute of play. Sebastião Velasco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mecnun Davarcı in the 90th minute. Carlos Fernando da Rocha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sebastião Velasco came out and tried to block the shot, but Carlos Fernando da Rocha slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 95th minute. The Amazonas Futebol Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Amazonas Futebol Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
