Sydney Rezende's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simão Peres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Soad FC's Luciano Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sérgio Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sérgio Cordeiro scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joel Campidelis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorginho Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Campidelis came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by A. A. Francana's Sérgio Cordeiro. But to his dismay, Sérgio Cordeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luciano Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Simão Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sydney Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half A. A. Francana were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Jorginho Moura made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Luciano Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Iuri Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute Jorginho Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Campidelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, A. A. Francana's Sérgio Cordeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Campidelis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Soad FC's Joel Campidelis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Soad FC from getting a goal against them. When the match was over A. A. Francana could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Soad FC throughout the match.
