Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Álvaro Neves kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Mosquitinho getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Emanuel de Lara hit a great ball. Engenho's Sílvio Luís Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 10 minutes, Vitinho Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Engenho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitinho Rezende was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuel de Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel de Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Mosquitinho got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel de Lara. Alan Simões hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Juarês de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Neves in the 14th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Engenho's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Neves came free, but Juarês de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Luís Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Cristiano Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitinho Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Bertassi having to interfere. In the 30th minute Alan Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juarês de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Bertassi made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Vitinho Rezende sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by Vitinho Rezende got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Vitinho Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Bertassi having to interfere. Sílvio Luís Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sílvio Luís Baptista was the one to do the kick off. Vitinho Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute of the match, Enéas Pinheiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Juarês de Souza was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 62nd minute, Enéas Pinheiro made a precise shot to the right of Juarês de Souza. Engenho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Egídio Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristiano Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Rezende in the 67th minute of the match. Engenho's Juarês de Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Engenho from getting a goal against them. Sílvio Luís Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute, Vitinho Rezende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vitinho Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Bertassi having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Sílvio Luís Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Mosquitinho's Juarês de Souza threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Álvaro Neves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vitinho Rezende struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Cristiano Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Engenho. 91 minutes into the game, Enéas Pinheiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juarês de Souza. Enéas Pinheiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Enéas Pinheiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Juarês de Souza made a huge save. Mosquitinho were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Engenho's much stronger midfield.
