Davi Matos was a little too slow when César Saraiva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 18 minutes, César Saraiva made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Seropedica's Davi Matos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd minute, Peaky Blinders's André Luiz de Lima dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. In the 35th minute, Peaky Blinders's César Saraiva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Davi Matos. Davi Matos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, César Saraiva put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Davi Matos. Ivo Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Davi Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Walmir Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walmir Tepedino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
