Deivid Simão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The supporters of SoberanosFC booed when Peaky Blinders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luiz de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geovanni Braga struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Ivo Diniz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SoberanosFC. After a defensive mix-up in SoberanosFC's zone, César Saraiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Deivid Simão came out of the goal and César Saraiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Walmir da Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonas Mazza charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Mazza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as César Saraiva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Deivid Simão. That made the score 0-3 in the 65 minute of play. Edgar Vieira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Deivid Simão made a huge save. André Luiz de Lima did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Deivid Simão 78 minutes into the match. Reynaldo Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Deivid Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz de Lima in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Reynaldo Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
