In the 27th minute Enrique de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Sílvio da Silveira sped through Fatec Campinas F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Almir Lopez.
