Marcelo Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Negri in the 18th minute of play. After 23 played minutes Colorado got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Velasco. JUVENTUS EC's Marcos Sergipano got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Narciso Arruda charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Narciso Arruda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Colorado's Narciso Arruda got a free kick in the 25th minute. Colorado's Marcelo Abraão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Colorado from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the JUVENTUS EC defense, Enrique de Alcântara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Linares. The JUVENTUS EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Linares should have stopped the shot. JUVENTUS EC's Joel Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio da Silveira in the 49th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sílvio da Silveira to make the kick off. JUVENTUS EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Sílvio da Silveira scored to the left of an out of position Joel Linares, making the score, 0-4. Luís Fábio Siqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Colorado:s Marcelo Abraão showed great skill when he stopped Duda Barbosa:s penalty. An unexpected shot in the 99th minute by Artur Neiva got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 99 minutes into the match, Enrique de Alcântara notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of JUVENTUS EC's Joel Linares. Joel Linares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Colorado's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
