The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arrepol's Nicolas Matorin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Martins in the 11th minute of play. Thomás Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolas Matorin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Edgard Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. OROBORO F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Thomás Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. OROBORO F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomás Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Matorin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute Álvaro Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizinho de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Valdomiro Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Álvaro Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgard Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Matorin having to interfere. Edgard Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolas Matorin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Álvaro Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Matorin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomás Costa in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thomás Costa to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Álvaro Zanette had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luizinho de Amorim. OROBORO F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Álvaro Zanette was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 59th minute, Genílson Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Arrepol's goalkeeper Nicolas Matorin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgard Martins. 63 minutes into the match, OROBORO F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Sena came free, but Luizinho de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
