Penalty! The goalkeeper, Edu Coelho, was totally fooled by JUVENTUS EC's Duda Barbosa, who 7 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Flavinho Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Délio Saraiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Délio Saraiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Linares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Délio Saraiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 18 minutes, Edvaldo Braga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JUVENTUS EC and the Manchester United F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for JUVENTUS EC! If Flavinho Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Délio Saraiva struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Joel Linares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United F.C.. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavinho Silveira in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Linares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edu Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavinho Silveira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joel Linares having to make a save. JUVENTUS EC's Joel Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaltino Baptista in the 41st minute of play. The supporters of Manchester United F.C. booed when JUVENTUS EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luís Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flavinho Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Linares having to interfere. When Manchester United F.C.'s Flavinho Silveira in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The wind increased when Falcão Negri made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Manchester United F.C.'s Délio Saraiva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Linares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. A hard shot 60 in the game by Flavinho Silveira from a close distance when the talented Joel Linares managed to make a qualified save. JUVENTUS EC's players were relieved. Flavinho Silveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Linares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 69th minute Falcão Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edu Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, André Luís Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Flavinho Silveira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joel Linares. That made the score 1-3 in the 78 minute of play. Manchester United F.C.'s Délio Saraiva got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 85 minutes, Flavinho Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester United F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavinho Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in JUVENTUS EC's zone, Délio Saraiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Linares came out of the goal and Délio Saraiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manchester United F.C.'s Délio Saraiva got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind JUVENTUS EC's goalkeeper Joel Linares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joel Linares made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Flavinho Silveira sent off a good shot on target. Luizinho Mesquita hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Manchester United F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
