Chicão da Silveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. João Francisco Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almir Lopez having to interfere. Chicão da Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Cunha in the 26th minute of the match. Alfredinho Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Almir Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Adolfo Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Cunha in the 33rd minute of play forced Candeias Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Chicão da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chicão da Silveira came out of the goal and André Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Fatec Campinas F.C had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
