In the 3rd minute, one of Alcatéia FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Alcatéia FC. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Colorado. Renatinho Velasco stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jardel da Silveira. 0-1. When Artur Neiva fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colorado's protests and gave Artur Neiva a yellow card for diving instead. 15 minutes into the match, Colorado's Enrique de Alcântara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jardel da Silveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sílvio da Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jardel da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnaldo Mangueira charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnaldo Mangueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Alcatéia FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Arnaldo Mangueira hit a great ball. Samuca Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Marcelo Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Colorado's Sílvio da Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jardel da Silveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Campidelis in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Abraão saved Colorado from getting behind. Samuca Urbano's late challenge caught a Colorado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuca Urbano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute João Campidelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sílvio da Silveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jardel da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After a rather tough play, Colorado's Luís Fábio Siqueira got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Paulinho Tinoco sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Colorado's Marcelo Abraão didn't even have to move. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sílvio da Silveira in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jardel da Silveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Colorado booed when Alcatéia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colorado's Artur Neiva got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jardel da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio da Silveira in the 70th minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Sílvio da Silveira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Jardel da Silveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jardel da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Alcatéia FC's zone, Enrique de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jardel da Silveira came out of the goal and Enrique de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artur Neiva got free with Jardel da Silveira in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enrique de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel da Silveira having to interfere. Sílvio da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Alcatéia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Alcatéia FC defense, Enrique de Alcântara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jardel da Silveira. The Alcatéia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jardel da Silveira should have stopped the shot. Colorado's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
