The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Álvaro Zanette spun around in front of the goal 2 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Fatec Campinas F.C's goal. Gilmar Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almir Lopez having to interfere. Álvaro Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Almir Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Álvaro Zanette in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Almir Lopez saved Fatec Campinas F.C from getting behind. In the 14th minute, Álvaro Zanette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alfredinho Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fatec Campinas F.C's Alfredinho Montenegro in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nicolas Matorin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 36th minute, Alfredinho Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolas Matorin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 39 played minutes Fatec Campinas F.C got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Pinheiro. If Álvaro Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Messias hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Fatec Campinas F.C's goalkeeper Almir Lopez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilmar Sena. Gilmar Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

After having played for 50 minutes, André Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fatec Campinas F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredinho Montenegro scored 1-3 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolas Matorin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 57 minutes into the match, Alfredinho Montenegro notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Arrepol's Nicolas Matorin. Nicolas Matorin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Alfredinho Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Arrepol's Nicolas Matorin got control of the ball when Alfredinho Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 69 minutes, Isaltino Rodrigues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fatec Campinas F.C and the Arrepol players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th minute, Isaltino Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Álvaro Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 76 minutes into the match, Arrepol's goal looked a bit too open when André Cunha came free, but Nicolas Matorin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Cunha in the 78th minute of play forced Arrepol's goalkeeper Nicolas Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 minutes of play, Arrepol's Álvaro Zanette made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Almir Lopez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfredinho Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alfredinho Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 89 minutes, Gildo Novaes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arrepol and the Fatec Campinas F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Fatec Campinas F.C booed when Arrepol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gildo Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Almir Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Arrepol's zone, André Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolas Matorin came out of the goal and André Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
