Luís Guilherme Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to Leonels FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Reinaldo Montenegro hit a great ball. Jardel Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nico Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonels FC's Jardel Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano de Queiroz in the 23rd minute of play. Marcelo Bertassi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Caatiba's Nico Reis in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leonels FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 43 played minutes Leonels FC got a freekick which was hit by Faustão dos Santos. Caatiba's Joélson Seco couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 44th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Leonels FC. After having played for 45 minutes, Cristiano de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caatiba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano de Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

51 minutes into the match, Nico Reis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jardel Fonseca, 0-1. A hard shot by Elder Catarinense from long distance, 56 minutes into the match, got Jardel Fonseca's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Leonels FC's Jardel Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Leonels FC from getting a goal against them. Luís Guilherme Cerezo hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Jardel Fonseca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nico Reis went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Beto Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nico Reis in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jardel Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute, Luís Guilherme Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Caatiba's Nico Reis in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leonels FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Leonels FC's zone, Beto Eger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jardel Fonseca came out of the goal and Beto Eger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelo Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Cido Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Leonels FC's Marcelo Bertassi in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caatiba's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Caatiba had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
