After a defensive mix-up in JUVENTUS EC's zone, Alfredinho Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Linares came out of the goal and Alfredinho Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredinho Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Linares having to interfere. Almir Lopez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Sergipano in the 24th minute of the match. JUVENTUS EC's André Luís Linhares pulled a muscle in his leg after 26 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 26 minutes into the game, Isaltino Rodrigues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marcos Sergipano took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Almir Lopez. Almir Lopez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Alfredinho Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joel Linares having to make a save. The Fatec Campinas F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. JUVENTUS EC were winning 0-1.

Cléberson Pinheiro hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Joel Linares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Cunha's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. When André Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Fatec Campinas F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Cunha couldn't finish the play. Marcos Sergipano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Sergipano scored 0-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Almir Lopez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 78 minutes into the match, André Cunha notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of JUVENTUS EC's Joel Linares. Joel Linares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute, Alfredinho Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joel Linares was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After a rather tough play, Fatec Campinas F.C's Tomás Messias got a free kick in the 87th minute. Marcos Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Almir Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
