If Dedé Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dedé Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jardel Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedé Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the game, José Paulo Pirani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leonels FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INTER MB the free kick. In the 9th minute, José Paulo Pirani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jardel Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedé Azevedo in the 11th minute of the match. Leonels FC's Jardel Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Leonels FC from getting a goal against them. If Dedé Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jardel Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elano da Silveira in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Leonels FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alexsandro Barros fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Alexsandro Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute Dedé Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Leonels FC's goalkeeper Jardel Fonseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bogdan Psotka. In the 28th minute Faustão dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdir Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo José Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, one of INTER MB:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for INTER MB. The referee gave Leonels FC a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Simão Vinhas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of INTER MB's Valdir Rossi. 0-1. Irwin Winkler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 38 minutes, Dedé Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INTER MB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dedé Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Leonels FC's goalkeeper Jardel Fonseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexsandro Barros. In the 41st minute INTER MB were awarded a corner. Brazilio Tasso went to the cornerflag to take it. Leonels FC's Jardel Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Leonels FC from getting a goal against them. Dedé Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo José Carneiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dedé Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Fonseca having to interfere. Jardel Fonseca came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by INTER MB's Alexsandro Barros. But to his dismay, Alexsandro Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Marcelo Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Valdir Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dedé Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Nico Pombal notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Leonels FC's Jardel Fonseca. Jardel Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jardel Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexsandro Barros in the 73rd minute of play. Alexsandro Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Fonseca having to interfere. Brazilio Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Fonseca having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elano da Silveira in the 79th minute of play forced Leonels FC's goalkeeper Jardel Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dedé Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the INTER MB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dedé Azevedo couldn't finish the play. Felippe Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Irwin Winkler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jardel Fonseca. Leonels FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Irwin Winkler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. After 88 played minutes Leonels FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Guilherme Cerezo. Alexsandro Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Alexsandro Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. INTER MB's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
