Cléber Ferraz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eurico Meira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Eurico Meira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cléber Ferraz was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eurico Meira in the 21st minute of play forced Variante's goalkeeper Cléber Ferraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eurico Meira struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Cléber Ferraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maracai F.C. 28 minutes into the match, Maracai F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar do Valle came free, but Waldir Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Otávio Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Waldir Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eurico Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Ferraz having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Otávio Peixoto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st match minute, Variante was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Gabriel Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. Variante's Cléber Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eurico Meira in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th match minute, Variante was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademar Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oscar do Valle to make the kick off. When Edgar Teles came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Maracai F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Teles couldn't finish the play. Eurico Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Ferraz having to interfere. Otávio Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eurico Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cléber Ferraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otávio Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eurico Meira in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cléber Ferraz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Otávio Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Ferraz having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Maracai F.C's Eurico Meira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cléber Ferraz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Variante's zone, Otávio Peixoto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cléber Ferraz came out of the goal and Otávio Peixoto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Natanael Antunes's late challenge caught a Variante's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natanael Antunes helped the player get up and apologised. Waldir Castro made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Donato Queirós sent off a good shot on target. In the 67th minute Marcel Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléber Ferraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cléber Ferraz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eurico Meira went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Edgar Teles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cléber Ferraz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Waldir Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 81stth minute of the game Eurico Meira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Variante's Cléber Ferraz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tiago Gabriel Albuquerque's late challenge caught a Maracai F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 91 minutes of play, Maracai F.C's Eurico Meira made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cléber Ferraz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cléber Ferraz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eurico Meira went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Maracai F.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
