Spectators: 6656 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 0) When Orlando de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Cacoes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. If Erasmo de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldinho Dantas's late challenge caught a Cacoes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Cacoes FC's zone, Erasmo de Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Peres came out of the goal and Erasmo de Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ronaldinho Dantas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 23 minutes had been played. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fiori Dracena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the match Cacoes FC got a corner. Aracnídeos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Reinaldo Passos ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 59 played minutes Aracnídeos got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Simão. Orlando de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
