Atlético Clube Mogiano's Kléberson Gomes managed to work through Cookies Team's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Kléberson Gomes dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Atlético Clube Mogiano's Thomás Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Zanette in the 7th minute of play. After some careless play in the Cookies Team defense, Chico Diniz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wellington Dionísio. The Cookies Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wellington Dionísio should have stopped the shot. Doriva Mineiro kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cookies Team's zone, Kléberson Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington Dionísio came out of the goal and Kléberson Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wellington Dionísio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Diniz in the 23rd minute of the match. Kléberson Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Wellington Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wellington Dionísio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Wellington Dionísio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Diniz in the 29th minute of the match. Atlético Clube Mogiano's Thomás Nogueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Clube Mogiano from getting a goal against them. Kléberson Gomes struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Wellington Dionísio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Clube Mogiano. Denílson Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Richard Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Nogueira having to interfere. If Carlos Fernando Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atlético Clube Mogiano's Thomás Nogueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Clube Mogiano from getting a goal against them. Thomás Nogueira made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Carlos Fernando Bittencourt sent off a good shot on target. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Richard Zanette to make the kick off. Thomás Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Bittencourt in the 52nd minute of play. Doriva Mineiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Atlético Clube Mogiano's players had a chance to rest. Kléberson Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Cookies Team getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Luiz Eduardo Gonçalves hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Carlos Fernando Bittencourt put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Thomás Nogueira. Carlos Fernando Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Nogueira having to interfere.
