Zachariasz Cwenar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Perez having to interfere. Zachariasz Cwenar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 16 minutes, Adelino de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mira AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino de Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Washington da Silveira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Everardo Erruki, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Betinho Zonta got free with Everardo Erruki in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benê Linares might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Luís Perez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benê Linares ran back to his position shaking his head. When Zachariasz Cwenar came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Gilbert fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zachariasz Cwenar couldn't finish the play. Zachariasz Cwenar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36thth minute of the game Benê Linares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mira AD's Pedro Luís Perez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dedé Neves hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Betinho Zonta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Everardo Erruki was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Everardo Erruki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Washington da Silveira in the 48th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After having played for 52 minutes, Benê Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mira AD's Pedro Luís Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benê Linares in the 67th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mira AD's zone, Benê Linares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luís Perez came out of the goal and Benê Linares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benê Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Pedro Luís Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Washington da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington da Silveira in the 86th minute of play forced Gilbert's goalkeeper Everardo Erruki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Gilbert getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Dedé Neves hit a great ball. Mira AD's Pedro Luís Perez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Mira AD from getting a goal against them. Mira AD's Washington da Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilbert's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
