In the 9th match minute, All Blacks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco Lira to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Norberto Alves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rafael Xavier, 1-0. Rafael Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Alves in the 17th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frédson de Salles during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Time de Futebol's Frédson de Salles got a free kick in the 21st minute. Frédson de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Rafael Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorginho Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aírton Porto's late challenge caught a All Blacks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luizão Amaral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Carlos Augusto Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizão Amaral having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Carlos Augusto Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Augusto Dias got free with Luizão Amaral in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luizão Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Carlos Augusto Dias got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Despite being the better team, All Blacks failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
