In the 7th match minute, Tangente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Augusto de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Tangente FC's Vladimir Andrade got control of the ball when Angelo Arantes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Serginho Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráuzio Mendonça in the 13th minute of play. Tangente FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dráuzio Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serginho Furlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Alan Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Angelo Arantes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute, Tangente FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Angelo Arantes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dráuzio Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. Alan Moura might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serginho Furlan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alan Moura ran back to his position shaking his head. Faiz o B.O.'s Serginho Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Mendonça in the 58th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Osvaldo Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Faiz o B.O.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Arantes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimir Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Angelo Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Faiz o B.O. getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Ian Toscano hit a great ball. Alan Moura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Serginho Furlan made a huge save. Luiz Guilherme Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. If Dráuzio Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Serginho Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráuzio Mendonça in the 72nd minute of the match. Osvaldo Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Vladimir Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Tangente FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Carlos Augusto de Sousa hit a great ball. If Osvaldo Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serginho Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráuzio Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. A collision led to Tangente FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Carlos Augusto de Sousa hit a great ball. Vladimir Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Arantes in the 96th minute of the match. In the 100th minute Faiz o B.O. were awarded a corner. Ian Toscano went to the cornerflag to take it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Angelo Arantes advanced and headed the ball into goal, 3-1 in the 100th minute. Tangente FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
