Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Itaperu's Raimundo Veloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Itaperu from getting a goal against them. Sidnei Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Osvaldinho Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, Itaperu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fábio Moraes to maneuver through the defense. When Arcadia's João Schmidt in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itaperu's goalie prevented a goal. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Moraes in the 31st minute of play forced Arcadia's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Arcadia defense, Sidnei Cardozo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osvaldinho Dantas. The Arcadia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osvaldinho Dantas should have stopped the shot. Marcus de Sena in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Raimundo Veloso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marcus de Sena struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Raimundo Veloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arcadia. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clemente Moraes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Moraes in the 54th minute of play forced Arcadia's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Itaperu's Clemente Moraes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osvaldinho Dantas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Osvaldinho Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Moraes in the 59th minute of play. Jailson Silveira hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Sidnei Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Osvaldinho Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itaperu. Clemente Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74thth minute of the game Clemente Moraes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arcadia's Osvaldinho Dantas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Raimundo Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus de Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th match minute, Itaperu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wágner de Brito to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, João Schmidt notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Itaperu's Raimundo Veloso. Raimundo Veloso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Schmidt in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimundo Veloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 86 minutes, Luiz Fábio Moraes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itaperu and the Arcadia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Itaperu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fábio Moraes to maneuver through the defense. Raimundo Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus de Sena in the 91st minute of play. 98 minutes into the match, Itaperu's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus de Sena came free, but Raimundo Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
