Spectators: 7220 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chico Vianna started the match with the kick off. Nelsinho de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Nelson Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fiori Maranhense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Erik Vergílio made a huge save. Fiori Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olívio Maciel hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Nelson Tavares came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Serra Talhada FC's Chico Vianna. But to his dismay, Chico Vianna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Serra Talhada FC's Silvinho Ortiz got a free kick in the 20th minute. When Olívio Maciel came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Barreiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olívio Maciel couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Chico Vianna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nelson Tavares was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Barreiras's Nelson Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chico Vianna in the 25th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Vieira during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes Serra Talhada FC got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Vieira. Nelsinho de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chico Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Tavares having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Silvinho Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Serra Talhada FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvinho Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chico Vianna in the 48th minute of play forced Barreiras's goalkeeper Nelson Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Barreiras players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Serra Talhada FC were winning 0-1.

Dênis Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Nelson Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 53 minutes into the match, Serra Talhada FC's Chico Vianna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nelson Tavares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. André Luiz Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. André Luiz Novaes might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erik Vergílio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Luiz Novaes ran back to his position shaking his head. Nelson Tavares made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Nelsinho de Queiroz sent off a good shot on target. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Serra Talhada FC! Erik Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fellipe Perez in the 70th minute of play. Fiori Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Vergílio having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Olívio Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barreiras's goalkeeper Nelson Tavares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fellipe Perez's late challenge caught a Serra Talhada FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fellipe Perez helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Barreiras:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Serra Talhada FC:s goal. In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Serra Talhada FC. Natã Arce stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nelson Tavares. 1-2. 90 minutes into the match, Barreiras's Fiori Maranhense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erik Vergílio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Silvinho Ortiz struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Nelson Tavares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Serra Talhada FC. 94 minutes into the match, Nelsinho de Queiroz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nelson Tavares. Barreiras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nelsinho de Queiroz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelsinho de Queiroz got free with Nelson Tavares in the 100th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
