The crowd rose to their feet as Koepsel EC's Eriberto Sousa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erik Vergílio. That made the score 1-1 after 11 minutes of play. Eriberto Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erik Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber Pimenta in the 23rd minute of the match. Leopoldo Rosado hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Serra Talhada FC's Chico Vianna in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Koepsel EC's goalie prevented a goal. Eriberto Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gláuber Pimenta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Erik Vergílio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Koepsel EC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Gláuber Pimenta hit a great ball. Chico da Cunha was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 46th minute Chico Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carlos Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 played minutes Koepsel EC got a freekick which was hit by Durval Dias. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Eriberto Sousa made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Serra Talhada FC's Natã Arce got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute Antônio Carlos Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelsinho de Queiroz got free with José Carlos Cardozo in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Eriberto Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulinho Pena's late challenge caught a Koepsel EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulinho Pena helped the player get up and apologised. Paulinho Pena hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Eriberto Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Carlos Cardozo made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Nelsinho de Queiroz sent off a good shot on target. Chico da Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chico da Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Serra Talhada FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! Cléber Vasconcelos scored 2-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erik Vergílio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 80 minutes into the match, Serra Talhada FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Mangueira came free, but Erik Vergílio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dênis Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. With a little luck, Koepsel EC's José Carlos Cardozo got control of the ball when Dênis Pires tried to sneak it across the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Serra Talhada FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Sousa came free, but Erik Vergílio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Koepsel EC booed when Serra Talhada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chico da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cléber Vasconcelos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 97th minute, one of Koepsel EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Koepsel EC. A collision led to Serra Talhada FC getting a freekick after 101 minutes play. Vitinho Gomes hit a great ball. After 103 played minutes, Koepsel EC's Cléber Vasconcelos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erik Vergílio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Koepsel EC reached it. When the referee ended the match the Koepsel EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
