The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the match, Felippe Mineiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Norberto Ortiz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 5th minute, Gilvan Viana sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Boleras FC's Norberto Ortiz didn't even have to move. Giovana F.C.'s Luís Guilherme Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernando Ramalho in the 12th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Felippe Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giovana F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Felippe Mineiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 1-0 became the score in the 16th minute when Wanderson Tróia elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gernando Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Guilherme Nunes having to interfere. Gernando Ramalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Luís Guilherme Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wanderson Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Ortiz having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, Boleras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the game, Wanderson Tróia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Norberto Ortiz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luís Guilherme Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arí Meira in the 35th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Giovana F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Ramalho came free, but Luís Guilherme Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otávio Batista in the 45th minute of play forced Giovana F.C.'s goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felippe Mineiro to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Giovana F.C.'s Luís Guilherme Nunes got control of the ball when Otávio Batista tried to sneak it across the goal line. Otávio Batista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Guilherme Nunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Wanderson Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Giovana F.C.'s Luís Guilherme Nunes got control of the ball when Otávio Batista tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute Gernando Ramalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Guilherme Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gilvan Viana fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Giovana F.C.'s protests and gave Gilvan Viana a yellow card for diving instead. Norberto Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felippe Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Otávio Batista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Luís Guilherme Nunes made a huge save. If Felippe Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otávio Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Giovana F.C.'s Luís Guilherme Nunes got control of the ball when Otávio Batista tried to sneak it across the goal line. Norberto Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wanderson Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Boleras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felippe Mineiro came free, but Norberto Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Giovana F.C. booed when Boleras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arí Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wanderson Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Norberto Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boleras FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
