The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Jamaica Roots got a freekick which was hit by Elói Rocha. With his leg Enio Rezende managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when MAGNUM BSJ's Rodriguinho Peixoto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cauã Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho de Queirós in the 7th minute of play. Nelson Vander struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Cauã Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jamaica Roots. Cauã Godoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedrinho de Queirós's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Jamaica Roots's Róbson Neiva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cauã Godoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 14th minute, Jailson da Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guilherme Linhares took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Enio Rezende. Jamaica Roots's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, José Pedro Baptista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MAGNUM BSJ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jamaica Roots the free kick. Cauã Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jailson da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The Jamaica Roots fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Jamaica Roots's Pedrinho de Queirós looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Pedrinho de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jamaica Roots's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrinho de Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cauã Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Róbson Neiva came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Jamaica Roots fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Róbson Neiva couldn't finish the play. Jailson da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauã Godoi having to interfere. Pedrinho de Queirós struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Cauã Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jamaica Roots. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cipriano Magalhães made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Jamaica Roots's goal looked a bit too open when Rodriguinho Peixoto came free, but Enio Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedrinho de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauã Godoi having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Pedrinho de Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jailson da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, one of MAGNUM BSJ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MAGNUM BSJ. In the 74th minute, Pedrinho de Queirós made a precise shot to the right of Cauã Godoi. MAGNUM BSJ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Luís Loureiro took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cauã Godoi. Cauã Godoi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Cauã Godoi was a little too slow when Róbson Neiva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-7. Cauã Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nelson Vander in the 93rd minute. The MAGNUM BSJ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Jamaica Roots were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
