Jailson da Mata hit a great ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Wágner Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmeiras Gude's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wágner Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivo Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 16 played minutes Palmeiras Gude got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Soeiro. After 17 played minutes, Jamaica Roots's Zé Augusto Terra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ivo Carioca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jamaica Roots reached it. Wágner Laras short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Enio Rezende to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Palmeiras Gude's Paulo Renato Pontes got a free kick in the 25th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Pedrinho de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jamaica Roots's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrinho de Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivo Carioca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the match, Pedrinho de Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivo Carioca. Palmeiras Gude's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedrinho de Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice moves Luiz Guilherme Barreto could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Enio Rezende however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Palmeiras Gude's zone, Pedrinho de Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivo Carioca came out of the goal and Pedrinho de Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jailson da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute Róbson Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wágner Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedrinho de Queirós in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivo Carioca saved Palmeiras Gude from getting behind. Pedrinho de Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Ivo Carioca made a huge save. Palmeiras Gude's Ivo Carioca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Palmeiras Gude from getting a goal against them. Nelson Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ivo Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pedrinho de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63 minutes of play, Jamaica Roots's Pedrinho de Queirós made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivo Carioca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedrinho de Queirós who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Ivo Carioca when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jamaica Roots's Pedrinho de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Pedrinho de Queirós got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Nelson Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ivo Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Jamaica Roots fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Jamaica Roots's Pedrinho de Queirós looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 84th minute, Pedrinho de Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 86 minutes, Angelo Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jamaica Roots's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedrinho de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the game, Zé Augusto Terra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jamaica Roots's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmeiras Gude the free kick. The supporters of Palmeiras Gude booed when Jamaica Roots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Augusto Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dinei Paranaense missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 95 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Enio Rezende right hand side. Jamaica Roots played a much better game than Palmeiras Gude and deserved their victory. The Palmeiras Gude players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
