Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Eurico Gonçalves started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute, Eurico Gonçalves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cuiabá F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Maurinho Maia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toninho Pires in the 8th minute. Maurinho Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valério Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valério Barral in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maurinho Maia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maurinho Maia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valério Barral's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Valério Barral fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Maurinho Maia, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Cuiabá F.C's Maurinho Maia got control of the ball when Toninho Pires tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cuiabá F.C's Maurinho Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Barral in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valério Barral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cuiabá F.C's Maurinho Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho Pires in the 52nd minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toninho Pires couldn't finish the play. Rapador AD's Toninho Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Cuiabá F.C's Jaime Quadros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Alves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Toninho Pires came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Rapador AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toninho Pires couldn't finish the play. Maurinho Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toninho Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Valério Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rapador AD's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
